(AOL) is a commercial on-line service provider based in Vienna, Virginia.
AOL claims to be the fastest growing provider of on-line services. AOL
offers electronic mail, interactive news, software archives, multi-user
conferencing, and technical support. AOL has added full Internet access
to its list of services.
AOL's main competitors are Prodigy and
CompuServe.
